I have begun to look over my participants' articles and original writing pieces. Below are my assessments:
Participant K's article on Bullying
Participant J's article on Specials Classes
Participant C's article on Academic Team
The assessments that I made were all based upon how each article related to the criteria from the ReadWriteThink Writing Rubric.
I love your visuals! It's neat the see the variety in writing that you are receiving from the students. Even the length in writing differs. I like the way you are scoring the students on their articles. You provide clear reasoning of why you decided on the score. I also like that you have provided "next steps". This allows you to keep a clear plan in mind and allows you to see your next moves. Do you allow the students to see the grade sheets that critiques the writing? Glad to see they are finally turning in some writing pieces.
ReplyDeleteLaShanda, I also LOVE that you are providing next steps for students. Our staff has been doing a book study on Carol Dweck's "Mindset." One of the most important things I walked away with is the importance of helping students with the steps to success. You have definitely shown the growth-mindset in helping your students learn from their mistakes. Great job!
